I really did have this fanciful notion that I would have all the time
in the world to update a wedding blog. Boy was I mistaken.
Well, we will see you all soon I am quite excited. I think this wedding
will be a good time had by all. Megan, Madelyn, and Harlan have done an
enormous amount of work. I'm trying to do my usual last minute work. I
think the gondola rides will be a real treat!

Long to no blog eh...Happy new year!
Planning is moving along at a good pace now that the big day is a little
over four months away. We registered before the x-mas break. See registry
info below. When, and if I get more emails I will send the link to this
site. My guess is there are about four people that have seen this simple
site. Megan and I account for half the audience. Please feel free to comment,
and recommed. Any worldly advice about marriage is welcomed.
Lots of love

So far we've sent out our save the
date cards. It was actually a fun (if somewhat arduous) process. Once
out of school there was a mad dash across three cities to a Berkeley print
shop. We first met with an eloquently spoken graphic designer who was
willing to use my Photoshop design with his printing software. As he exited
for an appointment I struggled to make a few quick changes with a ten-minute
deadline and Megan spoke with the manager about cost. After some quality
haggling Megan was informed that they did not have the type of printer
for our project. "It's being shipped, and will arrive soon?!"
There were two other shops to visit. We had backups. I started to explain
my project and was told that it was too small. "A minimum of 5000
copies." And so he pointed us in the direction of a nice little digital
printing establishment up the street.
The place was of course closed! But no, as luck would have it a chap with
the great name of Matthew was standing outside waiting for another customer
to pickup. I asked if the shop was closed. He nodded. "Come on in
I can help you anyway." Perhaps he could see the stress in my brow.
Relief came quickly as I talked about the project. I was in good hands.
The next day I made the same trip to check the proofs. And then finally
we picked up the final copy two days after dropping it off. |
